U&Alibi

U&Alibi is a British pay television channel that launched on 1 November 1997 as UK Arena, then changed to UK Drama in 2000, UKTV Drama in 2004 and Alibi on 7 October 2008 before changing to U&Alibi on 7 November 2024.

The channel started on 1 November 1997 as UK Arena as a part time service that started at 3:00 PM. UK Arena failed and then became UK Drama on 31 March 2000 and changed its start time to 7:00 PM.
UK Drama changed its name to UKTV Drama on 8 March 2004. It became 24/7 on 30 May 2005. On 2 May 2006, UKTV Drama +1 started.

UKTV Drama and UKTV Drama +1 became Alibi and Alibi +1 and the channel changed to be showing crime dramas on 7 October 2008.
The channel became U&Alibi on 7 November 2024 with Gold changing to U&Gold on the same day.
