Antonina Taborowicz (4 October 1899 - 11 January 1993) was a Polish track and field athlete specialized in the high jump. She was three times national champion, 13 times national record holder and represented Poland internationally. She was a resistance member during World War II.

[change | change source]She was a member of Sokół Warszawa and Sokół-Grażyna. She became three times Polish national athletics champion in the high jump in 1924, 1925 and 1926. She was four times national record holder in the high jump; up to 1.40 metres in 1926. She represented Poland at the 1926 Women's World Games in Gothenburg and finished sixth in the high jump event in a new Polish national record.[1][2]
Personal life
[change | change source]Sadkowska was born in Warsaw on 4 October 1899. During the occupation of Poland during World War II she cooperated with the dominant resistance movement Home Army.[1] She died in Warsaw on 11 January 1993 at the age of 98. She is buried at the Bródnowski Cemetery in Warsaw.[3]
