Chanodichthys
Appearance
Chanodichthys is a genus of cyprinids in the subfamily Cultrinae consisting of five species from East Asia. It is related to Culter.
Etymology
[change | change source]It is derived from chanos, which is Greek for "abyss, mouth opened, inmensity" and also the Greek word for fish, ichthys.
