Gidday Adam,
Just had a look at your site. Very interesting. By the way I very much doubt that MacArthur ever visited the bunker.
I have his office appointments for the full duration of the war. No entry that I have spotted for such a visit. In fact his visits to Sydney were very few indeed.
Go ahead and use the photos.
Could you change the link for my site at the bottom to the following:-
www.ozatwar.com/raaf/1fshq.htm
Attached is location of that other bunker which by my reckoning puts it under teh large substation which I assume belongs to TransGrid.

My request
Hi
Would it be possible for me to use a few images of yours of the Bankstown bunker in the wikipedia article of the same name? I have a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankstown_Bunker You may even want to have a look at the article itself which has quite a few un-sourced statements. If it was possible for me to use a few of you pics, I would be interested in the 1945 picture of the guy inside the bunker on the ladder and the more recent image of the burnt out bankstown bunker, showing the entire room. Also if you look closer at those two pics, if you take a closer look at the ceiling it both pictures, you can see something that confirms that this is or could be the same room. You could also email me at my home computer acdcadam@internode.on.net . Where I may receive the message sooner.

3owned means where a government is the copyright owner as well as would have owned copyright but reached some other agreement with the creator.
When using this template, please provide information of where the image was first published and who created it.
You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States.
Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).
