Kamaria (Kamariya, Kumheria, kamariha,) is a subdivison of Ahirs[1][2][3][4][5][6][7](Abhira[8]) or Yadav[9] caste in India, prominently found in Uttar Pradesh. The Kamaria clan includes several (over 100+) Gotras in it.[10] Kamaria is the second most dominant Ahir subdivision in western Uttar Pradesh after the Ghosi sub-clan.[11] They are well known for their political dominance over Uttar Pradesh as the founder of Samajwadi Party, Lt. Mulayam Singh Yadav belonged to the Kamaria subcaste of Ahirs [12][13][14][15][16][17][18].
