Michael Blunden (born December 15, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey right winger. He played for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Montreal Canadiens, and Ottawa Senators.

Before he played in the AHL and NHL, Stanton played 4 seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Erie Otters.

He was drafted 43rd overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and was signed to a 3-year entry level contract with them on May 24, 2006.[1] He made his debut with the Blackhawks in the 2006–07 NHL season and played 9 games with them but suffered an injury to his shoulder and was ruled out the rest of the season.

On January 10, 2009, he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Adam Pineault.[2]

He played a season with the Blue Jackets and was traded to the Montreal Canadiens for Ryan Russell on July 7, 2011.[3]

On June 28, 2014, Blunden was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Lightning to a one-year, two-way contract.[4]
