Stagecoach is a 1939 American western movie directed by John Ford and was based on the 1937 short story The Stage to Lordsburg by Ernest Haycox. It stars John Wayne, Claire Trevor, Andy Devine, John Carradine, Thomas Mitchell, Louise Platt, George Bancroft and was distributed by United Artists. It was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and won 2 in 1940 and was remade as Stagecoach in 1966 and 1986.[1]
