Taking a break

[change source]

Hello i am gonna take a small break from making articles because:a ip editor is being authoritarian with me just because some parts of my articles are copied from en wiki he even asked for a 12 hour block on admnistrators noticeboard hiding texts that are copied from en wiki saying they are not ready to stay published and keeps saying i need to improve my articles i did nothing wrong.

For me its the first time i saw a ip editor being authoritarian because authoritarian editors are mainly veteran editors and also am not doing personal attack aganist him just saying of educated form that i am taking a small break due to this reason just because some parts of my articles are copied from en wiki he is now monitorating any page that i made anyways good luck with your contribuitions best regards. 179.109.143.218 (talk) 01:48, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Griff, Saw your comment on VIP, Unfortunately I think we were being trolled, I'm baffled on that but yeah I'm assuming it's either a (forgetful) POV pusher or a troll, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 00:19, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think I can get the patroller perm? Cactus🌵 spiky 11:09, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cactus. There are two main criteria I use when decided whether to grant the patroller permission.
  1. Has the user shown that they are following the patrolling criteria in their edits/creations?
  2. Do edits/creations by the user require cleanup to meet Wikipedia standards?
Similar to the opinion that Auntof6 expressed when you requested last month, I am still finding issues in a majority of the articles I sampled from your recent edits. These are mostly minor in nature, such as copyediting (an extra period here or a missed formatting issue), lack of full attribution, or perhaps a reference missing. However, in my opinion, the purpose of patrolling an article is to show to patrollers/administrators that an article meets our standards for an article and looks professional.
Right now, I believe that you need more practice in reviewing articles before I am comfortable in giving you the permission to mark an article as patrolled. The best way is to practice, so I recommend continuing your efforts on New Page Patrol to fix other articles (as well as your own) and request again in a few months. I am also happy to provide help or guidance in a couple of months on other improvements you may make.
