The 1936 Spanish general election was an election held on February 16 1936 during the Second Republic. It took place in several rounds. It resulted in a victory for the Popular Front, a coalition of the main left-wing parties.

This was the last election of the Second Republic before the Spanish Civil War began a few months later, and there was already tension between the left and the right.
