2025 Bukavu offensive

The 2025 Bukavu offensive was a military operation done by M23 rebels in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It focused on the capture of Bukavu, the provincial capital of South Kivu. This military campaign began in February 2025, after the group's successful capture of Goma in the neighboring North Kivu province, and ended with the M23 rebels’ successful capture of Bukavu just over a week later.^[1]^[2]^[3]
