On 25 February 2025, a Sudanese Air Force plane crashed into a residential area after takeoff. The Antonov An-26 crashed into a residential area near Wadi Seidna Air Base in Omdurman, Sudan because of an unknown mechanical failure. At least 46 deaths have been confirmed by Sudanese officials.[2][3]
