Admire is a city in Lyon County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 130 people lived there.[4]
History
[change | change source]Admire was created in 1886.[5] It was named after one of its creators, Jacob Admire.[6]
The first post office in Admire was created in November 1886.[7]
Admire was a station and shipping point on the Missouri Pacific Railroad.[8] By the mid 1990s, rail service in Admire had been ended, and the tracks are now being used as a rail trail.[9]

2020 census
[change | change source]The 2020 census says that there were 130 people, 48 households, and 38 families living in Admire. Of the households, 83.3% owned their home and 16.7% rented their home.
The median age was 39.5. Of the people, 95.4% were White and 3.1% were Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.8% of the people.[4][10]
2010 census
