Amanda Kasmira Cryer (née Amanda Kasmira Brown) is an Irish Canadian filmmaker, and social impact influencer.

Cryer is an alumna of UC Berkeley Extension and Harvard University's Sustainable Business Strategy Program.

Career

Amanda has worked with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds including leading change makers, media professionals, celebrities, community activists, leaders at the United Nations, scientists, philosophers, thought leaders, TV and Film personalities, Nobel Peace Prize recipients, CEOs, individuals working in politics and policy, and actors. She is the global ambassador at GetBundi, a STEM and Digital Skills education tech platform for African children, youth, and young adults.

As a filmmaker, Cryer's productions have included 'What They Wanted, What They Got', which sold to Showtime, starring Zach Galligan, Michael Des Barres, and Alanna Ubach.

She was an Executive Producer on, 'Luz' (2019); and a Producer on the award winning 'Lord of Catan', starring Fran Kranz and Amy Acker.

She worked with a cohort of Native American actors, including alumni of the Twilight film series (Chaske Spencer), to bring awareness to the water infrastructure issues negatively impacting Indigenous communities across the United States.

Cryer acquired the rights to the story "Bloodloss" (original story by Jeffery Potts) and teamed up with BenderSpink Production Company, renowned for blockbuster hits like "The Hangover" and "We're The Millers." Tragically, a few years later, Amanda faced the untimely loss of her colleague and friend, J.C. Spink , in 2017.
