Angela Maria Monteiro Bettencourt (25 June 1951 – 10 April 2021) was a Brazilian librarian. She was very important to the digitization of book collections. [1][2]

She graduated from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT) .[3]

She was coordinator at the National Library of Brazil of the large digitization projects.[4][1]
