Area code 434

Area code 434 is a telephone area code in the state of Virginia in the United States. It covers a large portion of the southern and central parts of the state, such as Lynchburg, Danville, Charlottesville, and Farmville. It was created on June 1, 2001, as a split from area code 804, which originally covered a larger region in eastern Virginia.
