Area code 662 is a telephone area code in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It covers the northern part of the state, including cities such as Tupelo, Southaven, and Greenville. It was created on April 19, 1999 as a split of 601. It is set to be overlaid by 471 in the future.[1]
