Area studies

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Area studies, also called regional studies, is a field of research for cultural, federal, geographical, and national regions. It exists as a description for many different fields of research, looking at both how people live and their culture. Most colleges or universities such as Harvard, provide a area studies program for students.[1][2] They usually include international relations, strategic studies, and other related programs.
