Arleen Frances Sorkin (October 14, 1955 – August 24, 2023) was an American actress, screenwriter, television presenter and comedian. Sorkin is known for playing Calliope Jones on the NBC daytime series Days of Our Lives and for being the real-life inspiration and voice for DC Comics character Harley Quinn on Batman: The Animated Series.[1][2][3]

Sorkin died in Los Angeles, California on August 24, 2023 from problems caused by pneumonia and multiple sclerosis at the age of 67.[4]
