The Baojun 510 is a subcompact Crossover SUV made by SAIC-GM-Wuling under Baojun since 2017.
History and Features
[change | change source]The Baojun 510 made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2016 while it was launched in 2017 the 510 is positioned under the Baojun 530/560.[3] it has a 1.5 liter petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automatic CVT transmission it was improved in 2019.[4] the SUV became in 2018 the best selling Crossover in China and later the best selling car from Baojun.[5] it also became the best selling new car nameplate in the world.[6]
Markets
[change | change source]The Baojun 510 is sold mainly in the Chinese market but in 2020 SAIC-GM-Wuling started exporting to Latin America (later Mexico and Middle East in 2021) the facelifted 510 under the Chevrolet brand as the Chevrolet Groove.[7] [8] [9]
Discontinuation
[change | change source]In 2019 the Baojun RS-3 was launched even though it acts as a replacement it is sold alongside the 510 as a more premium option.
