Barbara Marx Hubbard
Barbara Marx Hubbard (born Barbara Marx; December 22, 1929 – April 10, 2019)[1] was an American futurist, author and public speaker. She was known for creating "The Synergy Engine"[2] and the "birthing" of humanity.[3] She was born in New York City. She was the Co-founder and president of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution.
She was the subject of a biography by author Neale Donald Walsch, The Mother of Invention: The Legacy of Barbara Marx Hubbard and the Future of "YOU."[4] Deepak Chopra called her, "the voice for conscious evolution."[5] In 1984, she was nominated for Vice President of the United States for the Democratic Party.[6] She lost the bid to Geraldine Ferraro.
On April 3, 2019, Hubbard was hospitalized for a knee infection. She died a week later on April 10 at a hospital in Loveland, Colorado, aged 89.[7]
