On September 21, 2018, he would decide to head to Russia and play for HC Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).[6]
He would play a couple seasons back in North America in the AHL with the Hershey Bears and Charlotte Checkers and in the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays before returning to Europe.
