Cesare Bonizzi, OFM Cap. (15 March 1946 – 19 November 2024), also known as "Frate Cesare" was an Italian Capuchin friar and heavy metal singer.
Bonizzi was born in Offanengo, in the Province of Cremona, Italy. He was ordained a priest in 1983.[1]
In 1990, he became interested in using music for spiritual devotion. He released many albums in different styles from new age to rock. He was inspired by Metallica and began producing heavy metal albums.[2]
Bonizzi died on 19 November 2024 in Milan, Italy at the age of 78.[3]
