Church Stretton, or simply Stretton, is a small market town in the county of Shropshire, England. It is situated 13 miles (21 km) south of Shrewsbury and 15 miles (24 km) north of Ludlow. The population of the town in 2011 was 4,671.
It is located in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The town was nicknamed "Little Switzerland" in the late Victorian and Edwardian period for its landscape, and became a health resort.
The town has a railway station that provides direct trains to Shrewsbury, Manchester, North Wales and South Wales.
