History
[change | change source]The Basalt was introduced as a new model in 2024. It was first shown to the public as a concept car called the "Basalt Vision" [2] in March 2024. The production version of the car was revealed on 2 August 2024, with teaser images being shared in July.[3][4]

[change | change source]The Citroën Basalt is sold mainly in emerging markets, including India and Brazil.
India
[change | change source]The Citroën Basalt was launched in India on 30 August 2024. It is available in three trim levels: You, Plus, and Max. The car comes with two engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
Brazil
[change | change source]The Basalt was launched in Brazil on 2 October 2024. It is offered in three trim levels: Feel, Shine, and First Edition. In Brazil, it comes with a choice of two engines: a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
