Cliff Green

Cliff Green OAM (6 December 1934 – 4 December 2020) was an Australian screenwriter. He was best known for his work in Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975). In 2009, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal.[1]

Life and career

He was born in Melbourne. He worked as a school teacher.[2]

His screenplay for the 1990 TV movie, Boy Soldiers, was the first Australian drama to receive an Emmy nomination.[2]

Green died on 4 December 2020, aged 85.[3]
