The crown prince of Saudi Arabia (Arabic: ولي عهد المملكة العربية السعودية) is the second-most important position in Saudi Arabia. It is second to the King. The crown prince is the heir to the throne. The Crown Prince takes power with the approval of the Allegiance Council. This system was started during the reign of King Abdullah. If, for any reason, the King can not rule, the Crown Prince manage the affairs of the state until the King's return.

Mohammed bin Salman, son of King Abdullah, became Crown Prince in June 2017. This took place after Muhammad bin Nayef was removed from all positions.
