Cyclone Nisarga

Severe Cyclonic Storm Nisarga was a tropical cyclone that hit the Indian state of Maharashtra.[1]
Nisarga was expected to hit the western coastline of India. On 2 June 2020, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) revisited Nisarga as severe cyclonic storm from cyclonic storm. It had its landfall in the coastal town of Alibag in Maharashtra on 3 June 2020.[2]
It is the first super cyclonic storm to happen in the Bay of Bengal in the 21st century.[3][4] Nisarga is the first severe cyclonic storm since 1891 to impact Mumbai.[5]
