From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dahiya (also spelled as Dahia) is an Indian clan found among castes such as Jats and Rors of Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in India.[1][2]

Origin and history

[change | change source]

Swami Omanand Saraswati points out that the Jats of Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh; specially the residents of Tajupur, Dayalpur villages of Gurgaon district and Tatarpur village of Meerut district, belonged to Dahiya or Dheya family.[1] Some Ror clans overlap with other groups like Jat clans.
