The City of Delaware[3] is a city in and the county seat of Delaware County, Ohio, in the United States.[4] Delaware was founded in 1808 and was incorporated in 1816.
It is located near the center of Ohio, is about 30 miles (48 km) north of Columbus, and is part of the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. The population was 41,302 at the 2020 census.[2]
It is the birthplace of 19th President of the United States Rutherford B. Hayes.
