Dithan Kiragga born on (6th July, 1970) is Ugandan Public Health Physician. Executive Director Baylor College Of Medicine Children's Foundation Uganda .[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Dithan Kiragga was born in Mulago, in the city of Kampala , to Gertrude Nakiwala Male, a retired nursery school teacher, and the late Disani Wamala Male, a self-employed surveyor, on 6th July 1970. He attended Nangabo Self Help Centre and moved to Kabojja Mugwanya Primary School (P1-4) before proceeding to St. Savio Junior School to complete his primary education. He then transferred to Saint Mary's College Kisubi, in Wakiso District, where he completed his O-Level and A-Level education. He was admitted to Makerere University in 1990, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He interned at Mulago National Referral Hospital. In 2004, he received a Master of Medicine degree in Public Health, from the University of Liverpool. He followed that with a Master’s in International Primary Health Care at the University of London (2013). As of June 2024, he was pursuing a PhD in Public Health at Walden University, USA . In addition, he has undergone leadership and quality of care training certificate programs at Harvard T. Chan School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins University.[8][9][10]

Dithan Kiragga is a Ugandan Public Health Physician. He is currently the Executive Director of Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Uganda. He has worked for more than 25 years in various health, rehabilitation, and pandemic control programs in Uganda , Africa , and Asia .He managed the rehabilitation of critical health service infrastructure and functionalized health systems on World Bank Post-conflict projects in East Timor and Rwanda . He has served as the Chief of Party on 3 USAID Programs. He has been a Team Leader, health advisor,and district medical specialist on the EU, World Bank , and UN programs. He has authored a book,the Journey of Life, through my lenses.A script written to follow a certain path. He has published key articles in peer-reviewed journals.[11][12][13][14]

Kiragga is the Founder of several businesses and companies. He is the founder and Board Chairman of Mukono Diocese School of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences in Mukono. He is the patron of the family-owned JIKAH Business Solutions Limited. Together with key professionals, started the Uganda Health Care Federation, an umbrella group for the private sector in Uganda .[15]

Kiragga is married to Dr. Agnes Kiragga, who is employed with the African Population and Health Research Centre . They are parents of four children: Angel, Isabella, Jed, and Shona Kiragga.[16][17]
