ECG2019 LP 26

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[ECG2019] LP 26 is an O7V main sequence star located 5,284,000 light years away in the galaxy Leo P. It is known that it’s absolute magnitude is -4.58, hence it is around 5,800 times brighter than the Sun (in the visible wavelength).[1]

Analysis of LP 26’s spectra reveals a temperature of about 37,500 K, and a luminosity of nearly 126,000 solar luminosities. This means that LP 26 is around 8.2 solar radii.

Evolutionary models suggest an initial mass of 22 solar masses and an age of 7 million years.[2]
