Edmund Tudor, Duke of Somerset (21 February 1499 – 19 June 1500) was an English prince and the sixth child of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York.
Edmund was born at Greenwich Palace and was baptized in the Church of the Observant Friars. He was named after his grandfather, Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond. His godparents included his grandmother Lady Margaret Beaufort and Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham.
He spent time in the royal nursery at Eltham Palace with his siblings, including his elder sisters Margaret and Mary and his brother Henry.
Edmund died on 19 June 1500 at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire, at just 15 months old. The cause of his death is unknown, but childhood diseases were common at the time, and the plague was rampant. His parents were in Calais for 40 days, and after returning to England, they learned of Edmund's death.
