Etajima (江田島市, Etajima-shi) is a Japanese city in Hiroshima Prefecture on the Etajima Island at the entrance of the bay of Hiroshima.[1]

Etajima was the site of the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy (海軍兵学校, Kaigun Heigakkō, Short form: 海兵 Kaihei) from 1888 to 1945.[2]
The present city was created in 2004. It was created by uniting 4 towns: Etajima, Nōmi, Ōgaki, and Okimi.[3]
