The University of Fraserburgh was a university in Fraserburgh, Scotland. It was founded in 1592 by Sir Alexander Fraser of Philorth.[1] In 1600, Charles Ferme became its first and only principal, but was arrested in 1605. He returned in 1609, and stayed until his death in 1617, when the university closed.[2][3]
