Freudenstadt is a town in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The town is the capital of the district of Freudenstadt. About 24,000 people live there. It is a climatic health and Kneipp spa resort. Freudenstadt is very famous for its market square. Together with the communities of Freudenstadt, Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach and Seewald belongs to the Administrative Community of Freudenstadt. It was founded in 1599 by Frederick I, Duke of Württemberg.
