Gus Williams (October 10, 1953 – January 15, 2025) was an American professional basketball player. He was nicknamed "the Wizard". He won the NBA championship in 1979 while playing for the Seattle SuperSonics. He also played for the Golden State Warriors, Washington Bullets and Atlanta Hawks. His career lasted from 1975 to 1986.
Williams died on January 15, 2025 from problems caused by a stroke in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 71.[1]
