Hassan Gouled Aptidon (October 15, 1916 – November 21, 2006) was a Djiboutian politician. He was the first President of Djibouti from 1977 to 1999.[1] He was also the 1st Prime Minister of Djibouti in 1977.[2]
Gouled Aptidon died at his home in Djibouti City on 21 November 2006 at the age of 90.[2]
