How to Train Your Dragon is an upcoming American fantasy movie. It is expected to first be shown at CinemaCon on April 2, 2025 and then released on June 13, 2025.[1][2] It was directed by Dean DeBlois. He also wrote and co-produced the movie with Marc Platt and Adam Siegel.[3] It is a live-action remake of the 2010 movie of the same name.

The movie follows a boy named Hiccup as he makes friends with a dragon named Toothless and trains him, going against viking traditions. Most of the movie follows the plot of the 2010 movie.[4]

Principal photography for the movie started in Belfast, Northern Ireland on January 15, 2024 and ended on May 16.[5][6]
