The Hungarian Coptic Orthodox Church or the Hungarian Diocese of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria (hungarian: Magyarországi Kopt Ortodox Egyház) is an Orthodox Christian denomination in Hungary.
History
[change | change source]The Coptic Orthodox Church in Hungary began in the second half of the 20th century when Egyptian Coptic Christians moved to Hungary.[1][2]
Structure
[change | change source]The church's main center is in Budapest, where they meet regular for services and prayers.[3] They follow Coptic traditions, including the seven sacraments, special liturgies, and spiritual life.[4][5]
The Coptic Church works closely with other Eastern Orthodox and Christian communities in Hungary.[6]
