It topped the single charts in 19 countries including the United States and the United Kingdom. It won an Academy Award. It was nominated for 3 Grammy Awards in 1985. "I Just Called to Say I Love You" remains Wonder's most successful single to date. It also remains Wonder's only No. 1 in the United Kingdom.
