Immunodeficiency

Immunodeficiency, also known as immunocompromisation, is a state in which the immune system's role to fight infectious diseases and cancer is not strong or not there at all.^[1] Immunocompromisation may be caused by other illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, genetic diseases or problems within the system such as SCID.
