Jürgen Schmude
Jürgen Dieter Paul Schmude (9 June 1936 – 3 February 2025) was a German politician. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany. He was born in Insterburg, Germany.
Schmude was a member of the Bundestag from 1969 to 1990. He was the Minister of Education and Research of Germany from 1978 to 1981. From 1981 to 1982, he was the Minister of Justice. In 1982, he was also Minister of the Interior.[1]
Schmude died on 3 February 2025, at the age of 88.[2]
