Jaap Ramaker (29 June 1939 – 12 December 2024) was a Dutch ambassador.

Ramaker was chairman of a working group of the United Nations. In this role he succeeded in the creation of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty on 24 September 1996. The treaty was signed by five of the eight countries with nuclear weapons. In 1997 he became ambassador for the Netherlands to the United Nations and special representative to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.[1]

He received the Wateler Peace Prize in 1997.[2] In 2006 he was inducted into the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun (2nd Class with Gold or Silver Star).[3]

Ramaker died on 12 December 2024, at the age of 85.[4]
