Jakob Oetama

Jakob Oetama (27 September 1931 – 9 September 2020) was an Indonesian journalist. He was the co-founder and owner of Kompas Gramedia Group.[1] He also created Kompas Daily in 1965, one of the leading newspapers of Indonesia. Oetama was born in Central Java.

Oetama died on 9 September 2020 in Jakarta at the age of 88.[2]
