James Eubert Holshouser, Jr. (October 8, 1934 – June 17, 2013) was the Governor of the state of North Carolina from 1973 to 1977 for the Republican.
Holshouser was born on October 8, 1934 in Boone, North Carolina. He studied at Davidson College. Holshouser was married to Patricia Ann Hollingsworth until his death in 2013. They had no children. Holshouser died on June 17, 2013 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, aged 78.[1]
