Jardins de Marqueyssac

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Marqueyssac gardens are located in the town of Vézac, in the French department of Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. They are on the list of remarkable gardens in France.

Nineteen hectares form a site classified for its "picturesque and historical interest" since the ministerial decree of December 16, 1969.

Laid out on a rocky outcrop 130 meters above the river, the park offers a view of the valley, castles and neighboring villages, including Beynac-et-Cazenac, Fayrac, Castelnaud, La Roque-Gageac and Domme.[1][2][3]
