Karen Makishima

Karen Makishima (牧島かれん, Makishima Karen, born November 1, 1976) is a Japanese politician. She is a member of the House of Representatives since 2012. She was the Minister for Digital Transformation from 2021 to 2022 in Fumio Kishida's cabinet.[1] ​She is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Makishima was born in Yokosuka, Kanagawa.
