Karla Sofía Gascón (born 31 March 1972) is a Spanish actress. She is known for playing the main character in the musical crime movie Emilia Pérez (2024). For this role, she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award, becoming the first transgender woman nominated for a Golden Globe.[1]
She came out as trans woman in 2016,[2][3] and in 2018, she began her gender transition.[4]
She played Lourdes Buendía in the teen drama series Rebelde (2022).[5]
