Kimbap or gimbap is a popular Korean dish that is made with rice and various ingredients such as vegetables and meat, rolled in dried sheets of seaweed and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Origin
[change | change source]The origin of kimbap is debated. Some believe that it was introduced from Japan during the Japanese occupation of Korea. However, it has become its own dish as it uses traditional Korean flavors and sesame oil, instead of rice vinegar.
