Robert "King" Moody (December 6, 1929 - February 7, 2001) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Ronald McDonald in McDonald's commercials from 1969 until his retirement from the role in 1985.

Moody was born Robert Moody in New York City, New York on December 6, 1929.[1]

From the 1970s to the 1980s, he played Ronald McDonald for the McDonald's commercials.

After his retirement in 1985, he was replaced by Squire Fridell.

On February 7, 2001, Moody died at the age of 71.
